#IMWAYR 1/15/2018

Where and when do you read? Me? I read EVERYwhere and ANYtime I can. I'm reading right now. Currently listening to Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Sound familiar? If you saw The Last Jedi over winter break, then it should! Perhaps you recall seeing this awesome trailer! Can't wait to see it come to life March 30th on the big screen. Stay tuned for a "Reads-Like-Ready-Player-One" post in the near future!

When you do make time to read, do you prefer print or ebook? Personally, I love the accessibility and portability ebooks provide, but there's something about holding a book in your hand and turning each page by hand.

Currently reading on my Kindle Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment. Sound familiar? It should! This twisted tale about an imporverished Russian student named Raskolnikov who *spoiler alert--robs and murders the woman who owns the pawn shop* will have you asking questions like, is anyone above the law? Is there such a thing as greater or lesser humans?

And finally, to continue prepping for our 2018 Battle of the Books, I'm spending sometime in 1915 South Texas with a couple of star-crossed lovers--timed nicely considering all you freshmen are reading Romeo and Juliet! Yes, this R&J inspired historical fiction novel revolves around two teens--Dulcena and Joaquin--who find themselves in the center of the rising tension between the Texas Rangers (law enforcement not baseball team), the Tejanos, and the Mexican revolutionaries. I'll wrap this one up in time for a full review before Valentine's Day!

And, so I'll ask again...It's Monday, what are you reading?
